My traditional blog posts start with something akin to, "Wow, I haven't posted in a long time!" No shit, Sherlock. Just look at the timestamps! Oddly enough, I really do wish I blogged more. I also don't feel like I would really be any good at a blog about a specific topic. I read a lot of blogs about make-up and fashion, but lately I've moved more into the realm of interior design. I'd have a new blog every year, if not sooner.
The interior design bend has come from the fact that for the first time, I have my very own place. I feel like an adult. It's liberating!
From all the movies I've seen from Tim Burton, I've not once been disappointed. There are many other directors, though wonderful most of the time, fail on occasion. I adore Corpse Bride to no end. It helps that his favorite actor is Johnny Depp. I like Johnny Depp a lot, but this isn't about him. Batman wasn't bad either. I can only hope they don't slaughter it when they remake it with Christian Bale (also very cute, imo).
This is Alkira!

Ok, I have a pet peeve. If you are going to state an Url, please annuciate and speak all three 'w's. Or, better yet, if that seems to be an issue, don't even mention the 'w's because IE, the most common browser, doesn't need them. Infact, most browsers today don't need them.
At this point, I am still trying to figure out what exactly will work best for my new mage talents in 1.11 patch for World of Warcraft, but this is a tentative list.
So it's my opinion, as passed down to me by my conservative mother, that if anyone but yourself can hear your music from your headphones, it's too damned loud! I find the practice self defeating, as well as rude, and reckless to ones hearing.
I love Harry Potter. No, not the character, but the series as a whole. I find that fantasy tends to be too far out of the realm of possiblity for me to really get into it. That's why I love this series so much. It's based on the real world. J.K. takes the liberty of throwing in her own version of certain myths, and other such bits of fun things.
My two favorite characters are Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks. OTP! Remus has such a dark past for being such a great guy. As for Nymphadora, I just like her hair.
Spoilers below:
If you have never heard of Firefly, you are missing out. This show was cancelled after only 15 episodes, but rose from the ashes to have the movie Serenity made to follow up where the show left off. From the mind of Joss Whedon, I am constantly amazed, no matter how many times I watch any peice of the show or movie, how wonderful and creative it truely is. There are numerous fansite out there. So many that I dare not try to list them all. My favorite character is Jayne Cobb, the hired gun. He's just tall, rugidly hansome, and easy to understand. His bravado often hides what little deep emotion he has. He values sex and money, and not much else. He's good but he's bad, and it's a paradox I like to explore.

My opinion of Star Wars is so-so. George Lucas is a terrible director. While I enjoy the story, and the overtones, I can't stand the dialog. The 5th movie is pretty good, and so is the 6th, but all the ones directed my George himself, make me homicidal. I'm most enraged over the fact that I know Natelie Portman and Ewan McGregor can act, but in Star Wars they are reduced to snivelling and empty peices of crap.
I love Star Trek. I love The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager. My favorite character is Data. I grew up on Star Trek, and I love the interactions between the different people and races. While it is all fictional, the writers often intentionally try to draw parallels with everyday life.
